As an event designer, we look at so many elements that go into creating an unforgettable event. Today I will spotlight branding and how it can elevate you and your guests’ experience.

Branding an event creates an atmosphere of expectancy along each touchpoint. It provides the opportunity for a memorable experience beyond just that moment. When done right, a deeper connection can be developed between you and your guests. Whether branding for a company, product or individual, there are a few points to know. Today we will focus on the host of the event. 

 

How to Begin 

Branding is the look and feel of an event. See branding as chance to narrate your story from the beginning to the end that captures your personality, how you want your guests to feel, and how it can create a lasting connection. 

 

Personality

Your personality should be threaded throughout your guest’s journey. Are you fun-loving, thoughtful, or energetic? Whatever your personality, it should be your fingerprint that people recognize. Let your imagination soar as you plan because just about anything is possible.

How do you want your guest to feel before, during, and after your event?  

IN ADVANCE

Here is where the creativity begins, and it is with your invitation. The invite can either make or break your party, so you will want to make an impact. See it as your introduction to your guest’s event experience. The color, font, style, texture, type and wording are only a handful of elements that help set the tone and influence their decision to attend. No pressure, but picture it as a way to engage and excite them of what is to come. 

 

DURING

Throughout your event is how you can capture their five senses. Start from the moment they drive up to entrance, to the entering of the room and until their departure. These details of design, both large and small, the décor accents, and the ambiance will draw them into a transformative experience. Be sure to end your event with the same vigor as the beginning, and your guests will not want to leave. They may even ask, when is your next event?
