Top Three Things to Consider When Gift-Giving

It is December and the holiday parties are beginning, and the season of gift-giving is upon us.
Today I want to share 3 things to think about when gift-giving this year.
1. Remember the conversation.
You have had a conversation with the one you want to give a gift to. Think back to what they said, their likes and dislikes, what they are passionate about, and what puts a smile on their face.
Here are a few things that might jog your memory. Did they talk about their favorite movie, book, song, food, or pastime? Any of these hints will help you select the perfect gift.
2. Budget
It is easy to overspend this time of year. CREATE A BUDGET AND KEEP WITHIN THAT BUDGET!
Remember, you are not giving a gift to impress the person or to make it about you. If you have listened to the recipient, you are giving from the heart and within what you can afford. Your gift may take some creativity, but it’s absolutely doable.
3. Presentation
Presentation is so important. Your presentation is an extension of your gift. You have taken the time to handpick their gift, now it’s time to select a lovely gift box, wrapping paper, or gift bag. Choose something that is festive or in their favorite color. They will appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Bonus: Elevate your gift-giving.
If you want to elevate your gift, even more, think about adding a handwritten note. By adding a handwritten note, you are letting the recipient know you see them and appreciate them and it’s a great way to connect or reconnect with them.
